Job summary

Kiewit Power Engineering in the United States seeks a Senior Electrical/Controls Engineer to lead front-line I&C design for power facilities, including SCADA upgrades and PLC/DCS integration, across North America with remote start in Richmond and a hybrid work path.

You will mentor junior engineers, prepare design calculations and drawings, coordinate with owners and vendors, and contribute to proposals, cost estimates, and project delivery in line with Kiewit's safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited degree in electrical/controls engineering.
PE registration preferred.
10+ years in instrumentation and controls engineering and design.
Minimum 3 years in the power generation market.
Familiarity with control system programming concepts.
Experience with SCADA/PLC; DCS desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead or support design and I&C projects for SCADA system upgrades and other power projects.
Apply engineering techniques to meet project goals.
Prepare design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Mentor entry and mid-level engineers and coordinate with teams.
Coordinate with vendors, owners, and partners on electrical/I&C concepts.
