Job summary

Kiewit Power Engineering seeks a Senior I&C Engineer to lead SCADA and instrumentation/control projects across North America. The role involves design, evaluation, and coordination with construction partners to ensure safe, cost-effective solutions in power facilities.

Based in multiple US locations, the position starts remotely for some sites and transitions to hybrid/in-office. Requires a strong background in electrical/controls engineering and leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering.
• PE registration preferred.
• 10+ years in instrumentation and controls engineering; power generation exp preferred.
• Familiar with control system programming concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as lead or support engineer on SCADA/I&C projects for power facilities.
• Evaluate, select, apply engineering techniques for varying project sizes.
• Incorporate RFPs, contracts, and customer requirements into projects.
• Develop client proposals and cost estimates; lead feasibility studies.
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Prepare technical interface with construction partners and suppliers.
• Coordinate design efforts across teams and schedules.
• Review supplier drawings and perform technical contract administration.
• Mentor entry and mid-level staff; provide guidance and coaching.
• Collaborate with internal/external partners on electrical/I&C design concepts.
