Job summary

Kiewit Power Engineering in Raleigh, NC is seeking a mid-level Electrical/Controls Engineer to join our Design Engineering team. You will contribute to design calculations, specifications, and project deliverables for power facilities across North America.

The role includes mentoring junior engineers, coordinating with cross-discipline teams, and delivering safe, cost-effective, innovative designs within the EPC model.

Qualifications

• ABET-credited degree required.
• PE registration preferred.
• Experience with SCADA/PLC; DCS desirable.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques for projects of all sizes and levels of complexity.
• Develop and apply design calculations, project drawings, and design specifications.
• Formulate technical specifications, perform bid evaluations, and coordinate with construction partners and suppliers.
• Schedule, review, and coordinate design efforts with other project personnel.
• Mentor and direct the work of entry and mid-level engineers; provide guidance as needed.
