Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is a global consulting firm seeking a Manager for Merger Integration & Carve-Outs in the Education industry. The role involves leading integration workstreams, applying a structured approach to create value, and delivering results for private equity clients.

You will manage Day 1 readiness, post-close execution, and organizational redesign initiatives while collaborating with senior leadership across industries.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of professional experience in merger integration, business transformation or change management.
• Operating/exposure to the for-profit education sector.
• Knowledge of value drivers for investing in for-profit education.
• Experience leading one or more workstreams in business transformation.
• MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead workstreams or focus areas within Integration Management Office (IMO) – e.g., Synergies, TSAs, Day 1 readiness, communications.
• Develop recommendations and drive performance improvement across the enterprise.
• Coordinate with client leadership and cross-functional teams to plan and execute integration activities.
• Support Day 1/Day 100 planning and post-close execution.
• Travel up to 80% as required by engagements.
