Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Manager for Merger Integration & Carve-Outs in the Education sector. You will lead MI&C workstreams through the deal lifecycle, identify client needs, and deliver value across integration planning, DSAs, and Day 1 readiness.

The role emphasizes performance improvement and cross-functional leadership. Candidates should have 5–8+ years in merger integration or transformation, exposure to education, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years in merger integration, business transformation or change management.
• Experience in education sector is a plus.
• Understanding key value drivers in for-profit education.
• Experience leading one or more workstreams in transformation.
• Excellent oral and written communication; ability to travel up to 80%.

Responsibilities

• Lead workstreams or areas within Integration Management Office on deals.
• Identify client issues, determine needs and advise with recommendations.
• Drive performance improvement in strategic and operational areas.
• Oversee Day 1 and Day 100 planning and execution as required.
• Coordinate with finance, HR, IT, sales, and marketing teams.
