Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is seeking a Manager in Merger Integration & Carve-Outs within its Education Industry practice. The role emphasizes leading integration workstreams, driving value through synergies, TSAs, and Day 1 readiness, and delivering operational improvements across complex deals in the US.

The ideal candidate has 5–8+ years in merger integration or change management, with exposure to the education sector and MBA preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years experience in merger integration, business transformation or change management.
• Exposure to for-profit education sector is preferred.
• Knowledge of value drivers for investing in education and related trends.
• Experience in leading one or more workstreams in a transformation program.
• Strong analytical, planning and stakeholder management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead workstreams or focus areas within the Integration Management Office on synergies, TSAs and Day 1 readiness.
• Drive strategic planning, operational optimization and back-office consolidation across engagements.
• Oversee Day 1/Day 100 planning, execution and performance improvement initiatives.
• Manage communications, roadmap development and organizational design activities.
• Coach and lead teams to deliver high-impact merger integration initiatives.
