Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is a global consulting firm with a hands-on approach to solving clients' problems. We seek a Manager for Merger Integration & Carve-Outs in the Education sector to lead integration workstreams and drive value post-close.

You will apply deep experience in corporate transformation, change management, and education industry knowledge to deliver Day 1 readiness, synergy capture, and organizational design improvements across large, complex engagements.

Qualifications

• At least 5‑8+ years of experience in merger integration, transformation or change management.
• Operating experience or exposure to the for‑profit education sector.
• Understanding of value drivers in for‑profit education.
• Knowledge of trends and issues in for‑profit education (US and beyond).
• Experience leading one or more workstreams in a business transformation.
• Experience planning integrations and divestitures is a plus.
• Deep functional expertise in finance, HR, communications, supply chain, sales, or marketing.

Responsibilities

• Provide service excellence by identifying client issues and developing recommendations.
• Lead workstreams or IMO focus areas (Synergies, TSAs, Day 1 readiness, etc.).
• Drive performance improvement across strategic areas: planning, consolidation, supply chain, IT, and operations.
• Monitor Day 1/Day 100 progress and adjust integration strategies as needed.
• Support career development and international assignment exposure.
