Job summary

Sysco is hiring for an Operations position to assist with maintenance of material handling equipment and industrial batteries. The role emphasizes safety, PMs, and hands-on electrical/welding work in a logistics setting.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or GED; tech school/equivalent preferred.
• Four years in an MHE maintenance role or equivalent experience.
• Must possess a valid state driver's license and liability proof; SYSCO defensive driving program.
• Powered Industrial Equipment Certification and MHE 8-hour maintenance tech cert required.

Responsibilities

• Assist MHE technician III with maintenance activities on material handling equipment and batteries.
• Perform small electrical repairs and welding as needed.
• Maintain MHE fleet PMs, check oil levels, belts, chains, and electrical controls.
• Coordinate with battery technicians on charger repairs, battery changes, and watering/cleaning tasks.
• Log time and materials in the CMMS daily; keep maintenance areas clean and safe.
