Job summary

Sysco is seeking an Operations role specialist to assist an MHE technician III with maintenance of material handling equipment and industrial batteries. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical controls (AC/DC), pumps, motors, and basic welding, while ensuring safety and compliance.

A strong foundation in hydraulics and mechanical systems is essential, with a valid driver's license and proactive safety mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; tech school preferred.
• Four years in an MHE maintenance role or equivalent.
• Ability to read/interpret technical procedures and regulations.
• Must possess valid driver's license and meet company liability coverage standards.
• Sysco certification requirements include equipment maintenance certificates within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist MHE technician III with maintenance of material handling equipment and batteries.
• Perform preventive maintenance on MHE fleet, including oil checks and belt/chain maintenance.
• Troubleshoot electrical controls (AC/DC) and perform basic welding as needed.
• Maintain and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems; diagnose issues and implement fixes.
• Support battery technicians with charger repairs, battery changes, and safety practices.
• Log time and materials into CMMS daily; ensure housekeeping and tool maintenance.
