Job summary

Sysco North Texas is seeking an organized Material Handling Equipment Technician I to support maintenance of MHE and industrial batteries in a fast-paced distribution environment. The role involves learning electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, performing PMs, and assisting with battery maintenance.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with tech school preferred, and may require lifting up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; tech school preferred.
• Two years in an MHE maintenance position preferred (no experience required).
• Ability to read, interpret technical procedures, and understand safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist MHE technicians with preventive maintenance and repairs on material handling equipment.
• Learn to perform electrical repairs, hydraulic and mechanical system maintenance.
• Maintain batteries, chargers, and related equipment; perform safety checks per PM schedules.
• Log time and materials into CMMS daily and assist with housekeeping in maintenance areas.
• Adhere to safety policies and OSHA regulations; participate in on-call program.
