Job summary

Sysco South Florida, Inc. is seeking an Operations/MAINT role to support a MHE technician III with maintenance activities and battery care for our material handling equipment. The position emphasizes preventing downtime and safe operation of equipment at our facility.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, four years in MHE maintenance (or equivalent), a valid driver's license, and required certifications. A sign-on bonus up to $2,500 is available.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED; tech school preferred.
• Four years in an MHE maintenance position or equivalent experience.
• Must possess a valid state Driver's License and provide proof of liability coverage.
• Complete Sysco defensive driving program; obtain MHE certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist MHE technician III with maintenance activities on material handling equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks, oil levels, belts and chains, and electrical/PLC controls.
• Repair batteries, chargers, and related components; maintain battery rooms and safety.
• Adhere to safety policies, OSHA, and site housekeeping; participate in on-call rotations.
