Job summary

Sysco is seeking an Operations support role to assist the MHE technician III with maintenance of material handling equipment and industrial batteries. The position emphasizes safety, preventive maintenance, and adherence to policies in a fast-paced distribution environment.

You will perform repairs, assist in battery servicing, and support building/grounds projects, while documenting time and materials in the CMMS system.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; tech school preferred for advanced knowledge.
• Four years in an MHE maintenance role or equivalent experience is required.
• Valid state driver’s license and liability coverage are required; defensive driving certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist MHE technician III with maintenance of material handling equipment and industrial batteries.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks, oil levels, belts, chains, and electrical controls troubleshooting.
• Assist in battery charger repairs, battery changes, watering, and equalizing charges.
• Support safety policies, operate within OSHA and company safety standards, and document work in CMMS.
• Complete minor electrical repairs, welding, and general building/grounds projects as needed.
• Respond to on-call duties and participate in departmental safety initiatives.
