Job summary
Sysco Pittsburgh is seeking a Material Handling Equipment Technician II to assist the MHE Technician III with maintenance and battery-related tasks in a fast-paced distribution environment. The role emphasizes safety, preventive maintenance, and hands-on electrical and mechanical work.
Candidates should be familiar with reading schematics, performing PMs, and supporting battery operations while adhering to Sysco standards.
Qualifications
- Four years in an MHE maintenance position or equivalent education/experience.
- Valid state Driver's License with liability coverage per company standards.
- Sysco defensive driving program completion.
- Powered Industrial Equipment Certification from Sysco within 3 months.
- MHE 8-hour maintenance certificate from manufacturer (IE Crown, Raymond, Hyster).
Responsibilities
- Follow safety policies and procedures and comply with regulations.
- Perform small electrical repairs and welding as needed.
- Maintain MHE fleet and perform preventive maintenance per PM schedule.
- Assist battery technicians with battery charging, watering, and maintenance.
- Log time and materials into CMMS daily and keep work areas clean.
