Job summary

SPX Cooling Technologies in Olathe, KS is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead a production team, hire and train staff, and drive continuous improvement, safety, and on-time delivery.

You will oversee daily operations, coordinate with production planning, manage inventory, and ensure quality, with emphasis on lean methodologies and ERP systems. Strong leadership and HR collaboration are required to develop staff and optimize performance.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in unionized manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including assembly, welding/machining, quality control.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to manufacturing team, ensuring productivity and a positive working environment.
• Promote safety and enforce guidelines with regular inspections and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with production planning to prioritize schedules and ensure on-time delivery while meeting quality standards.
• Use ERP and other systems to prepare planning, performance, and improvement reports and maintain accurate records.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and participate in lean initiatives.
