Job summary

Westat, Inc. is seeking Field Interviewers to conduct in-person interviews for MEPS, a national study on health care costs. You will contact households, schedule interviews, and collect data using a Westat laptop.

Travel to in-person training in January 2027 is required, with some overnight travel possible. The role is part-time with data collection periods across the year, and you will transmit data daily while meeting confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older and able to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Available for mandatory web-based home study and Teams sessions between Jan 4 and Jan 15, 2027.
• Willing to travel for mandatory in-person training and possible overnight travel.
• Available for additional online and virtual trainings after in-person onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person interviews with household adults.
• Use a Westat laptop to collect data and transmit daily.
• Schedule appointments and gain cooperation from respondents.
• Travel to training sessions and to local and long-distance households as required.
• Adhere to data security and confidentiality requirements.
