Job summary

Westat is seeking Field Interviewers for the MEPS study, a panel survey of health care costs and usage in the United States. Training includes mandatory online and in-person sessions beginning January 2027, with travel to MEPS training in January 2027.

FIs conduct in-person and video interviews using a Westat laptop, contact households, schedule and complete interviews, collect documents, and transmit data daily.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older and able to enter confidentiality agreements.
• Complete mandatory pre-training including Teams sessions between Jan 4–15, 2027.
• Attend in-person training Jan 19–25, 2027.
• Complete post-training web-based and virtual training activities between Jan 26–31, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews with adult household members.
• Contact households in-person and by phone to introduce the study and gain cooperation.
• Set appointments, complete interviews and collect signed documents.
• Transmit electronic data daily on work days and meet data security requirements.
