Job summary

Westat is seeking motivated Field Interviewers to support MEPS, a nationwide study of health care costs and usage. The role involves in-person interviews across assigned households, with evening and weekend hours and occasional overnight travel according to caseloads.

Responsibilities include data collection, timely data transmission, and strict adherence to confidentiality and security protocols. Training begins soon, with mandatory in-person sessions in January 2027, and continued field work

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older and able to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Complete mandatory web-based training between Jan 4 and Jan 15, 2027, prior to in-person training.
• Attend mandatory in-person training starting Jan 20, 2027.
• Complete post-training home study between Jan 26 and Jan 31, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Report to field supervisor and complete administrative paperwork.
• Transmit electronic data daily during work days.
• Carry out in-person interviews with households within designated areas.
• Adhere to data security and confidentiality requirements.
