Job summary

Westat, Inc. is seeking Field Interviewers to conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews for MEPS, a nationally representative study on health care costs and usage.

The role requires travel to training in January 2027 and potential overnight trips, with part-time hours across two data collection periods each year. Candidates should be 18+, able to complete required training, and available for a data collection period extending through 2030.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older with ability to enter binding confidentiality agreements to protect project information.
• Available to complete mandatory web-based home study training between January 4 and January 15, 2027.
• Available to travel to and attend mandatory in-person training (January 19–25, 2027).
• Available to complete post-training home study between January 26 and January 31, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adult members of households.
• Contact households to introduce the study, set appointments, and complete interviews.
• Transmit data daily and complete administrative paperwork.
• Travel to in-person training and possibly overnight travel.
