Job summary

Westat, Inc. seeks Field Interviewers for the MEPS to conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews with adult household members across the United States. You will set appointments, complete interviews, and collect electronic and signed documents using a Westat-provided laptop.

This is a part-time, year-long position with two data collection periods. Training in January 2027 is required, and some travel, including overnight stays, may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older with ability to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Mandatory web-based training and Teams sessions between January 4 and January 15, 2027.
• Travel to in-person training in January 2027 and potential overnight travel.
• Complete post-training home study and additional mandatory trainings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person interviews with households using a Westat laptop.
• Contact households by phone and in person to introduce the study and gain cooperation.
• Set appointments, complete interviews, and collect electronic and hard-copy documents.
• Transmit data daily and comply with data security and confidentiality requirements.
