Job summary

Structure Tone Southwest seeks a Mechanical Estimator to lead MEP estimating, budgeting, and bidding for projects in Dallas area. You will review plans, solicit subcontractor bids, and prepare complete estimates to meet client and project goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction engineering, mechanical/electrical engineering or related field plus 2-3 years of MEP estimating experience.
• Well-developed estimating, communication, financial analysis, budgeting, purchasing, negotiation, and computer skills are required.
• Sufficient knowledge of all construction systems and disciplines to complete comprehensive cost estimates without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and drawings; prepare quantity take-offs for MEP projects.
• Solicit subcontractor bids and review bids for conformance to specs, price, and quality.
• Compute cost factors and prepare estimates for bids, planning, and scheduling.
• Interface with clients, vendors, and internal staff to resolve issues and support cost estimates.
• Organize and manage a centralized cost estimating database and process.
