Job summary

Structure Tone Southwest is seeking a Mechanical Estimator in Dallas, TX to lead MEP estimating, budgeting, and bidding for complex projects. You will review plans, perform quantity take-offs, solicit subcontractor bids, and develop complete estimate packages to meet client objectives.

You will collaborate with architects, clients, and operations to understand schedules and costs, maintain subcontractor relationships, and propose cost-effective solutions that balance quality and value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction-related field and 2-3 years of MEP estimating experience.
• Well-developed estimating, budgeting, negotiation, and computer skills.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems to prepare comprehensive estimates.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and drawings; perform quantity take-offs for MEP projects.
• Solicit subcontractor bids and analyze bids for conformance to specs and cost.
• Prepare hard bids or negotiated pricing; assemble complete estimate packages.
• Maintain cost estimating database and track trends; improve procedures.
• Interface with clients, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues.
