Job summary

Structure Tone Southwest seeks a Mechanical Estimator to perform MEP estimating, budgeting, and bidding for assigned projects in Dallas. You will work with architects, clients, and operations to understand objectives, schedules, and costs.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans, taking-offs, soliciting subcontractor bids, analyzing bids for conformance, maintaining cost-estimating databases, and applying software like Take Off, Bluebeam, Destiny and Building Connected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction engineering or mechanical/electrical engineering; related field with MEP experience preferred.
• 2-3 years of MEP estimating experience required.
• Strong estimating and financial analysis skills with Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and perform quantity take-offs for MEP projects.
• Solicit subcontractor bids and analyze bids for conformance to specs and cost.
• Maintain centralized cost estimating database and track historical data.
• Compute cost factors and prepare estimates for bids and proposals.
• Interface with clients, vendors, and internal staff to resolve issues.
• Identify cost trends and provide improvement recommendations.
