Job summary

Structure Tone Southwest in Dallas seeks an Electrical Estimator who will conduct MEP estimating, budgeting, and bidding for assigned projects, coordinating with architects, clients, and operations to capture scope, schedules, and costs.

You will develop hard bids or negotiated pricing, gather data from subcontractors and suppliers, maintain a centralized cost database, and analyze bids to ensure complete, competitive estimates and adherence to project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; plus 2–3 years of MEP estimating experience.
• Strong estimating, budgeting, and bid development skills.
• Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and Take Off/Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and drawings; prepare quantity take-offs.
• Solicit subcontractor bids for MEP projects.
• Analyze bids for conformance to specs, price, and quality.
• Maintain current information on codes for complete bids.
• Develop inclusion worksheets and track bidding progress.
• Compute costs and prepare estimates for bids and planning.
• Consult with clients and vendors to discuss estimates.
• Organize centralized cost estimating data.
• Analyze completed projects to compare estimates with actual costs.
• Identify cost trends to support cost reduction.
