Structure Tone Southwest is seeking an Electrical Estimator to conduct MEP estimating, budgeting, and bidding for assigned projects. You will interact with architects, clients, business development, and operations staff to ensure a clear understanding of project objectives, schedules, and other information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction or engineering and 2-3 years MEP estimating experience.
• Strong estimating, budgeting, and negotiation skills with experience with subcontractors.
• Knowledge of construction systems including mechanical and electrical.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and take-offs for assigned projects.
• Solicit subcontractor bids for MEP projects.
• Analyze bids for conformance to specs, price, and quality.
• Update cost estimates with current codes and trends.
• Maintain centralized cost estimating database.
• Use software to calculate and track estimates.
• Discuss estimates with clients and vendors to resolve issues.
• Analyze completed projects to explain cost variances.
