Job summary

Summer Consultants Inc. is seeking Mechanical Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 to explore how classroom concepts become real designs in living buildings. Interns will support HVAC and plumbing design, field surveys, and equipment selection on renovation projects.

Interns gain hands-on experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and related design software while learning from experienced engineers in a collaborative, small-team environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with at least two years completed toward HVAC/MEP-focused program.
• Interest in HVAC, plumbing, building systems, and renovation projects.
• Willingness to spend meaningful time in the field surveying existing conditions.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient with MS Word and Excel.
• AutoCAD and Revit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical and plumbing design on renovation projects.
• Participate in field surveys to document conditions.
• Assist with HVAC/plumbing calculations and equipment selection.
• Create and translate survey data into drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Coordinate with engineers across disciplines and learn in the field.
• Ask questions, apply feedback, and grow responsibilities.
