Job summary

Daytona State College is seeking a coordinator to manage the COMPASS mentoring program and Falcons Student Success initiatives. You will match mentors and mentees, train mentors, and connect students with college and community resources to improve retention and graduation outcomes.

You will document activities, compile reports, and collaborate with Academic Affairs and Enrollment Services to support student success across campus and external partnerships. Evening/weekend flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supervision and management, business administration, student personnel services or related field.
• Two (2) years of related work experience coordinating and/or implementing student retention services and case management in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee COMPASS mentoring program services and activities, manage mentor-mentee matching, and process communications.
• Recruit, train and evaluate mentors; refer students to college/community resources as needed.
• Document mentoring activities, generate periodic impact reports, and ensure best practices and standards are maintained.
• Oversee Falcon Student Success Program and support foster youth and homeless students with a case-management approach.
• Maintain records in college systems, respond to Early Alerts, and support retention initiatives across departments.
• Facilitate New Student Advising Sessions and participate in Retention and Hunger/Homelessness Committees.
