Job summary

Heart of Florida United Way seeks a dedicated individual to support students in achieving post-secondary success. You will assist with college readiness, academic planning, mentoring coordination, and intervention services, working with schools, families, mentors, and community partners to promote graduation and enrollment.

You will help with workshops, SAT/ACT prep, financial aid processes, and FAFSA completion while tracking student progress and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• One year of experience with high school students preferred.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required.
• Experience with Canva and Squarespace preferred.
• Database experience preferred.
• Customer service experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support students with post-secondary success plans focused on graduation, enrollment, and credential attainment.
• Assist students with college readiness, study skills, planning, and career exploration.
• Plan and facilitate college readiness workshops, outreach activities, and events.
• Assist with SAT/ACT prep, college applications, financial aid, and FAFSA completion.
• Monitor student academic performance, attendance, and program compliance.
• Identify barriers to student success and coordinate interventions with partners.
• Maintain communications with mentors, school staff, and other stakeholders.
