Job summary

Atlanta Metropolitan State College is seeking a part-time Student Success Coordinator to support Laker-Trailblazer students on campus and at Clayton State University. The role centers on holistic student support, academic intervention, and coordinating tutorials to aid retention as students matriculate.

The Coordinator will provide hands-on support, workshops, and coaching with a focus on confidentiality and collaboration with faculty and staff to promote student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and at least one year of experience working with undergraduate students or young adults in a tutoring, coaching, academic retention, or career services role.
• Demonstrated experience or interest in helping students transfer into and out of bachelor-level programs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provides academic support services, workshops, and consultative sessions to help students develop and apply academic success tools.
• Provide academic coaching and outreach to identified populations (e.g., cohorts, at-risk, or academic warning).
• Identify academic support resources to improve achievement and persistence.
• Collaborate with faculty for students with academic alert referrals in jeopardy.
• Assist and connect students with discipline-specific study materials for success.
• Adhere to confidentiality and ethical standards.
