Job summary

Daytona State College is seeking a Financial Aid Advisor to support student access. The role is based at Flagler/Palm Coast campus with in-person onboarding at Daytona Beach campus.

You will counsel students and families on aid programs, verify eligibility, maintain records, and present at nights and events; requires ability to work on-site and manage multiple tasks, including data entry and office duties.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of financial aid programs, policies, and procedures.
• Commitment to access and providing the best customer service and student support.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and College personnel.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships and organize multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Counsels students, parents, and faculty on financial aid programs and regulations; assists with applications.
• Determines financial aid eligibility (including verification) and awards financial aid per guidelines.
• Maintains knowledge of federal, state, and institutional rules related to Financial Aid.
• Maintains record systems and data to support reports.
• Work extended hours during peak registration periods.
• Conduct Financial Aid nights and group presentations.
• Data entry, typing, filing, and related office tasks.
• Other duties as assigned by the Dean or designee.
