Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • One year of experience in working with high school students preferred.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office required
  • Experience in Canva and Squarespace preferred.
  • Database experience preferred.
  • Customer service skills and experience required.
  • Ability to edit, complete, and assemble reports.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Analytical skills preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision required.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and orally, required.
  • Strong proofreading skills preferred.
  • Ability to utilize organizational skills effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Support students in developing and following individualized post-secondary success plans focused on graduation, enrollment, persistence, and credential attainment.
  • Assist students with all aspects of college readiness and preparation, including study skills, academic planning, and career exploration.
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate college readiness workshops, outreach activities, and educational events.
  • Assist students with SAT/ACT preparation, college applications, financial aid processes, and FAFSA completion.
  • Monitor and track student academic performance, attendance, behavior, and compliance with program requirements.
  • Identify barriers to student success and provide appropriate interventions through collaboration with students, parents, mentors, school staff, and community partners.
  • Maintain ongoing communication and collaboration with mentors, school coordinators, college staff, and other educational stakeholders to support student success.
  • Document and maintain accurate student records, including success plans, progress updates, mentor activities, and program participation.
  • Conduct outreach and awareness activities to increase engagement and knowledge of college readiness, persistence, and program services.
  • Attend networking meetings, community events, and training opportunities to strengthen partnerships and increase awareness of services.
  • Assist with marketing and communication efforts, including website updates, social media content, and text messaging platform management.
  • Coordinate meetings, student activities, outreach events, and distribution of program equipment and supplies.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of post-secondary education pathways, college access resources, and student support services.
  • Assist with collecting, tracking, and reporting program outputs, outcomes, and participant data.
  • Participate in required meetings, trainings, and collaborative initiatives with the Florida College Access Network and other partners.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support program goals and student achievement.
  • Assist in collecting participant success stories to highlight program achievements.
  • Maintain client and staff confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA, FIPA, PHI, PII requirements.
