Job summary

LifeStance Health in North Charleston, SC is seeking a Medical Services Coordinator to coordinate medical care and support patients and psychiatric clinicians. You will ensure quality customer service for in-person and remote patients and clinicians, handle prior authorizations, lab orders, and records requests, and manage calls and scheduling.

Starting at $21.00 per hour with quarterly bonus potential, the role emphasizes operational excellence, HIPAA compliance, and a collaborative team

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1+ year experience in healthcare operations, customer service, or similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate medical care and provide support to patients and clinicians.
• Deliver high-quality patient service for in-person and remote patients and clinicians.
• Assist with prior authorizations, lab orders, letters, records requests, and forms.
• Manage phone system and respond to medication questions, refills, and appointment scheduling.
• Assist in coordinating external referrals and communications between patient, medical staff, and pharmacy.
• Provide clinician support with administrative tasks, letters, and faxes.
• Support telehealth access and patient portal issues; escalate urgent requests as needed.
