Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a caring caregiver to provide dementia-centered care at our community in Chapel Hill, NC. You will follow individual service plans to support daily living activities and meaningful engagement for residents, promoting dignity and independence.

Responsibilities include ADL assistance, meal support, and maintaining accurate records while fostering a respectful, safe environment. Teamwork and reliability are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3–6 months related experience preferred
• Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's type
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with residents and staff

Responsibilities

• Provide dementia care including activities of daily living and engagement per individual care plans
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, and meals
• Maintain resident records and report changes in condition promptly
• Assist with medication distribution as permitted by state regulations
• Support a clean, safe, and orderly resident environment
• Encourage socialization and participation in person-centered programs and activities
