Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a compassionate caregiver to provide dementia care and daily living assistance to residents in a supportive community setting. You will follow individualized care plans, promote independence, and maintain accurate records to ensure high-quality care and safety.

As part of a team, you’ll support meal service, activities, and daily routines while upholding Brookdale’s commitment to dignity and respect for every resident.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3–6 months related dementia care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer’s type.
• Ability to follow care plans and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provides dementia care including ADL assistance and meaningful engagement.
• Treats residents with respect and dignity; supports independence.
• Maintains accurate daily records and follows medication procedures where applicable.
• Participates in team discussions and staff meetings to support care planning.
• Assists with meals, daily activities, and preferred routines as per Life Story.
