Job summary

Brookdale is looking for a caring professional to provide dementia care and daily living assistance in a supportive senior community in Oregon. You will engage residents with person-centered activities, promote independence, and support dining and hydration while documenting changes in their condition.

The role requires teamwork with staff, adherence to care plans, and respectful communication in a home-like setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 3–6 months related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia, particularly Alzheimer's type.
• May need state certification to assist with medications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide dementia care, meaningful engagement, and person-centered support.
• Assist residents with daily living activities and maintain independence.
• Support meals, hydration, and timely documentation of changes in condition.
• Participate in team discussions and communicate resident needs to leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow policies during emergencies.
