Job summary

Brookdale is seeking caring caregivers to provide dementia care and meaningful engagement for residents. You will follow individual service plans, assist with daily living activities, and encourage independence within a supportive community.

Responsibilities include documenting care, assisting with medications where allowed by state rules, preparing meals when needed, and maintaining safety. Brookdale emphasizes growth, benefits, and a team-based environment for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3–6 months direct care experience with older adults living with dementia.
• Knowledge of dementia and ability to follow care plans and state regulations.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provides dementia care including ADLs, meaningful engagement and person-centered service plan.
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and meals.
• Lead Daily Path engagement programs and encourage social participation.
• Maintain timely resident records including care and medication notes.
• Follow medication policies when permitted by state regulations.
• Keep a clean, safe environment and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Support teamwork and report changes to supervisors.
