Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and some related experience in elder care preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's type, or similar conditions beneficial.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide dementia care including activities of daily living and meaningful engagement.
• Respect residents’ dignity and life stories while encouraging independence.
• Assist with meals, mobility, grooming, bathing and daily routines as outlined in care plans.
• Document changes in residents’ condition and report to supervisor.
• Support safety, cleanliness and orderly environment in resident areas.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with caregiving staff.
• Encourage socialization and participation in planned activities.
