Job summary

Brookdale is seeking caregivers to provide dementia-focused care, meaningful engagement, and respectful, person-centered support in our communities. You will help residents with daily living activities, document care, and participate in teamwork to ensure safety and well‑being.

Responsibilities include following individual service plans, assisting with meals and mobility, and reporting changes to the supervisor while maintaining a compassionate, dignified care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3–6 months direct service with older adults living with dementia.
• Knowledge of dementia, particularly Alzheimer's type.
• May need to possess current state certification to assist with medications and follow state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide dementia care including activities of daily living and meaningful engagement according to the resident's plan.
• Assist residents with daily living activities and support independence.
• Maintain resident records and report changes in health or behavior to supervisor.
• Observe and follow medication procedures as allowed by state regulation and physician orders.
