Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living is seeking a Clare Bridge Program Coordinator to plan, coordinate and facilitate person-centered dementia programs for residents, enhancing their quality of life. You will engage residents in meaningful activities and ensure programs meet Brookdale standards.

Responsibilities include developing monthly activity calendars, coordinating events, and possibly supervising program assistants; a valid driver's license and relevant education are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, education or related field preferred.
• Minimum two years of direct programming experience with older adults and persons with dementia preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a current 3-year driving abstract with no more than one moving violation; may be required to obtain a commercial driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates and facilitates a calendar of person centered dementia friendly programs.
• Promotes the seven domains of well-being through dementia-friendly, structured programming.
• Develops a monthly calendar with residents’ interests and coordinates special events.
• Ensures dementia care programs comply with BEST, regulatory standards and Brookdale policies.
• May provide supervision of Clare Bridge Program Assistant(s) and assist with hiring, coaching and counseling.
