Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, education or related field preferred.
• Minimum two years of direct programming experience with older adults and persons with dementia preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a current 3-year driving abstract with no more than one moving violation.

Responsibilities

• Designs a 7 day a week person centered program that is engaging and meets residents' needs.
• Promotes the 7 domains of well-being in a dementia-friendly setting.
• Develops a monthly calendar with residents' input and schedules events accordingly.
• Coordinates dementia-focused in-services and events for families or associates.
• Ensures programs comply with BEST, site visits, state and federal regulations.
