Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a Clare Bridge Program Coordinator to design and coordinate person-centered dementia programs for residents, aligned with Brookdale’s Resident and Family Engagement philosophy. The role develops a weekly calendar based on residents’ interests and ensures compliance with BEST and regulatory standards while collaborating with families and staff.

You will supervise program staff, support hiring and coaching, and help plan special events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, education or related field preferred.
• Minimum two years of direct programming experience with older adults and persons with dementia preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a current 3-year driving abstract with no more than one moving violation; may be required to obtain a CDL.

Responsibilities

• Designs a seven day a week, person centered program that is engaging and meets the needs of residents.
• Develops a monthly calendar in partnership with residents based on shared interests.
• Ensures dementia care programs comply with BEST standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborates with leadership to educate families and associates about Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
• May supervise Clare Bridge Program staff, assist with hiring, coaching and evaluations.
• Plans events and activities, manages budgets, and supports service quality.
• Performs personal care, housekeeping and dietary tasks as needed to maintain service quality.

Education
