Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Program Coordinator (Finance) to plan, coordinate, and facilitate dementia-friendly programs that meet residents' needs within the Brookdale community.

The role emphasizes engaging residents in meaningful activities, aligning with Brookdale's dementia care standards, and collaborating with the executive team to ensure program quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, education or related field preferred.
• Minimum two years of direct programming experience with older adults and persons with dementia preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a current 3-year driving abstract with no more than one moving violation as a condition of employment and may be required to obtain a commercial driver's license based on the needs of the community.

Responsibilities

• Designs a 7 day a week person centered program that is engaging, creative and meets the needs and interests of the individual residents.
• Develops a monthly calendar, in partnership with residents, based on residents' shared interests.
• Ensures dementia care programs are in compliance with BEST and other regulatory standards.
• Collaborates with community leadership to educate families and associates about Alzheimer's and other dementias.
• May provide direct supervision of Clare Bridge Program Assistant(s) and assist with hiring, coaching and evaluations.
