Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living is seeking a program manager to lead dementia care initiatives across our communities. The role involves overseeing resident and family engagement programs, coaching caregiving staff, and ensuring person-centered programming, dining, and care for residents with dementia.

You will collaborate with leadership on dementia training, move-in/move-out processes, and staff education, while planning a calendar of dementia-friendly activities to meet diverse resident needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in gerontology, therapeutic recreation, or related field.
• Minimum three years of management and direct supervision experience.
• Experience with residents with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias in a residential setting.
• Experience leading dementia care programs and caregiver training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full implementation of resident and family engagement's dementia care program and coach associates who are caregivers.
• Collaborate with leadership on dementia training, preadmission/move-in/move-out processes, hiring, and education of associates in dementia care.
• Plan and coordinate a calendar of dementia-friendly programs to meet the needs of all residents in the dementia care community.
