Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living in Ann Arbor, MI seeks a Memory Care Program Coordinator (Finance) to plan and coordinate person-centered dementia programs. You will engage residents daily, align with BEST standards, and collaborate with families and staff to deliver meaningful activities within Brookdale's Clare Bridge program.

Responsibilities include event planning, budget awareness, training for staff, and potential supervision of assistants, with opportunities for growth within Brookdale’s dementia

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, education or related field preferred.
• Minimum two years of direct programming experience with older adults and persons with dementia preferred; or equivalent education/experience.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving abstract and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Designs a 7-day-a-week, person-centered program engaging residents, including dementia-friendly activities.
• Develops a monthly calendar with residents' interests and coordinates events and daily path programs.
• Ensures programs comply with BEST standards, regulatory requirements, and Brookdale policies.
• Educates families and associates about Alzheimer's and dementia care; provides trainings as required.
• Supervises program assistants when needed and supports hiring, coaching, and evaluations.
• Plans and participates in community events and marketing activities, including holidays and National Walk to End Alzheimer's.
• Reports health changes to the clinical partner and works on interventions with the team.
• Oversees social media content alignment with Brookdale brand guidance.
• Plans programming outside the community and may drive a community vehicle.
• Maintains department budget and may manage volunteers and related expenses.
• Performs personal care and related duties to ensure service quality per Clare Bridge standards.
