Job summary

Westmont Living in Culver City, CA, is seeking a compassionate MED TECH to join our assisted living and memory care team. The role involves medication set-up and helping residents with self-administration under RN/RSD guidance. You will ensure accurate MAR documentation and compliance with policy.

The position supports residents in a homelike setting with a focus on safety, teamwork, and providing daily meals and care. Prior experience with medication management in senior care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Medication handling and administration accuracy.
• Ability to document medication assistance per MARs.

Responsibilities

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents with self-administration as directed.
• Set up, record, and assist with medications per physician orders and RN/RSD direction.
• Document medication assistance on MARs immediately after assistance and explain PRN decisions when needed.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self- administration of their medications
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:
• Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
• Leaves no blanks on MARs
• Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
