Job summary

Westmont Living, Inc. is seeking a compassionate MED TECH to join Westmont of Culver City. The role includes medication setup and assisting residents with self-administration of medications under RN direction.

You will document medication assistance on MARs immediately after administration and ensure accuracy. The position offers an evening shift (Sun–Mon, 2pm–10:30pm) with training provided, competitive pay, daily pay options, and full benefits after waiting period, in a caring senior living

Qualifications

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents with self-administration per program.
• Set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians/RN.
• Document medication assistance on MARs immediately after administration.
• Must pass health screenings and clear criminal background.
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within 30 days of hire.

What we need from you:

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with the self-administration of their medications
• Must be able to set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including:
  • Document medication assistance on Medication Assistance Records (MARs) immediately after assistance
  • Leaves no blanks on MARs
  • Document reasons for PRN medication on reverse of MARs and effectiveness of medication
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
