Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living is seeking a Resident Program Assistant to support the Program Director in leading and executing Resident Programs in Sweet Memories and Assisted Living. The role focuses on engaging residents, coordinating physical, social, recreational, and educational activities, and helping create a safe, holistic environment.

The position requires prior experience with seniors, memory care, and activity planning.

Qualifications

• Education or training in a health care field; activity professional certification preferred.
• Experience with seniors; memory loss experience preferred.
• Two years’ activity planning for seniors preferred.
• Knowledge of social and psychological needs of residents.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Proficient with technology.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Director with planning and preparing a variety of physical, social, recreational and educational events.
• Assist with transportation and resident outings.
• Assist with the production of the community monthly calendar.
• Maintain documentation and resident attendance through digital programs.
• Maintain knowledge of communities, services, and events in the area and incorporate into activity schedule as appropriate.
• Establishes a warm and welcoming atmosphere for residents and staff.
• Promotes teamwork and positive attitude among associates.
• Continually evaluates the quality and consistency of activities for residents and suggests adjustments, corrections, and changes as necessary.
• Must have a clean driving record and be able to operate the community van safely.
• Other duties as assigned
