Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living in Charlottesville, VA seeks a Resident Programs Director to design and oversee engaging activities for residents, coordinating with the Resident Care Director and family members to keep memory care and assisted living residents engaged and well-supported.

You will supervise program staff, manage the SweetMemories program, coordinate events, and ensure compliance with regulations while maintaining a warm, resident-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of college in a healthcare field or as an activities professional.
• One to two years’ full-time experience in activities in adult care, memory care preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are required.
• UAIs/ISPs certificates or willingness to obtain.
• Knowledge of residents' social and psychological needs.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow instructions.
• Willing to perform non-professional duties and use technology.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Design a seven-day activity calendar meeting resident needs and interests.
• Collaborate daily with the Resident Care Director to serve residents and families.
• Monitors daily operations of the Sweet Memories Neighborhood and activities.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations for Assisted Living.
• Deliver CSL Signature Service Programs to residents.
• Assist in completing and updating UAIs and ISPs for Sweet Memories.
