Job summary

Avamere Communities in Portland, OR is seeking a part-time Server to provide excellent dining service in a memory care, assisted living or independent living setting. You will take orders, serve meals and beverages, set up and clear tables, and ensure a clean, welcoming dining environment for residents.

You’ll work with a caring team, follow food safety standards, and support residents’ dietary needs. Prioritize friendly, professional service and accurate order delivery, with weekend

Qualifications

• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety.
• Maintain personal hygiene with hair secured and handswashed.
• Interpersonal skills to work with residents and colleagues.
• Ability to learn to operate kitchen equipment.
• CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
• Current Food Handler's card issued by local Health Department.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and hospital/nursing home rules.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
• Compassion for the elderly and a caring attitude.

Responsibilities

• Record and deliver meal and beverage orders accurately.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and attractively.
• Provide attentive, courteous service and address requests.
• Set up dining room, arrange tables, and maintain cleanliness.
• Clear tables and reset for next service.
• Take and deliver room service orders to residents' apartments.
• Know menu items and dietary needs to answer questions.
• Interact professionally with residents and guests.
• Follow food safety/hygiene procedures.
• Collaborate with wait staff and kitchen for smooth service.
• Dispose of waste per policy.
• Other duties as assigned.
