Job summary

Avamere Communities is seeking a part-time, on-call Server to provide dining service in a memory care/assisted living setting at Avamere at Sandy, OR. You will take orders, serve meals, and ensure a pleasant dining experience for residents and guests.

The role requires strong customer service, food safety knowledge, and the ability to work with a caring team across shifts, including weekends. Perfect attendance bonuses, on-call schedule, and competitive hourly wages accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety.
• Requires maintaining high standards of personal hygiene while on shift.
• Ability to learn to operate kitchen equipment and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Accurately recording and delivering meal and beverage orders from residents.
• Promptly delivering food and beverages to residents with attractive presentation.
• Provide attentive and friendly service, checking on residents’ needs during meals.
• Assist with setting up dining room before meals and maintaining cleanliness.
• Clear tables after meals and reset for next service.
• Take and deliver room service orders to residents’ apartments.
• Be familiar with the menu and dietary needs; answer questions.
• Interact with residents and guests in a professional, courteous manner.
• Follow food safety, storage, and sanitation procedures.
• Collaborate with wait staff and kitchen staff for smooth service.
• Dispose of food and waste per policy.
• Other duties as assigned.
