Job summary

Avamere Communities is seeking a part-time Server to provide excellent dining service in a memory care, assisted living, or independent living setting at Avamere at Park Place, Portland, OR. Typical shifts include 4-7pm on weekends and 7am-7pm on weekdays.

You will record orders, serve meals, maintain cleanliness, and support residents with dietary needs. Responsibilities include setting up the dining room, delivering food, checking on residents, and collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure

Qualifications

• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety.
• Maintains high personal hygiene while working.
• Interpersonal skills to engage residents and staff.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment.
• CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
• Current Food Handlers card issued by local Health Department.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Accurately recording and delivering meal and beverage orders from residents.
• Promptly delivering food and beverages to residents.
• Provide attentive, friendly service and address requests or concerns.
• Set up dining room and maintain cleanliness during service.
• Clear and reset tables for next service.
• Take and deliver room service orders to residents’ apartments.
• Know menu and be able to answer dietary questions.
• Interact with residents and guests professionally and warmly.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Collaborate with wait staff and kitchen staff for smooth service.
• Dispose of food and waste per policy.
